Dental Imaging AI
Overview
This industry project involved developing deep-learning and computer-vision pipelines for dental and oral medical imaging applications. The work focused on automated image analysis, disease-pattern detection, image enhancement, and generative modeling to support AI-assisted diagnostic workflows in dentistry.
My role
AI Developer at Dentai, a healthcare-AI startup, from 2020 to 2023. I contributed to the design and development of code for medical image analysis, including algorithms for oral and dental disease detection, pattern-recognition systems, and deep-learning workflows for high-resolution imaging tasks.
Methods & tools
The work included CNN-based approaches for image classification and segmentation, pattern-recognition pipelines for detecting clinically relevant visual patterns, image enhancement methods, and generative models for medical imaging applications. I worked across data preparation, model development, training, evaluation, and applied R&D experimentation.
Outcome & output
This experience gave me three years of applied healthcare-AI development in a real product-oriented environment. The work strengthened my ability to build end-to-end medical imaging pipelines, translate clinical imaging problems into machine-learning tasks, and develop AI tools intended for practical diagnostic support.
